Foot Detox

How does the foot detox work?

An ion is a charged atom or molecule that has gained or lost an electron, thus creating an electromagnetic field capable of neutralising oppositely charged particles such as toxins in the human body. The ions produced by the detox foot spa create a gentle vibration that aids the release of unwanted toxin particles through the pores on the sole of the foot. There are over 2,000 pores on each foot!

Anyone who suffers from allergies, swollen joints, rashes, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, blotched complexions, pimples, dark circles, Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue or high blood pressure will benefit from this non-invasive and therapeutic treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between gel polish and traditional polish?

Gel polish is set in the salon by an LED light, making the polish completely dry before you leave the salon. It provides the client chip-resistant colour for up to 2 weeks (depending on the individual). Shellac needs to be removed in the salon using pure acetone to limit the damage to the natural nail.

Traditional polish takes up to an hour to be completely set. It can be removed at your home by supermarket-bought non-acetone polish remover.

  • What does the traditional manicure and pedicure consist of?

Our basic manicure and pedicure treatments include nail and cuticle work:

    • Cutting & filing of the nail

    • Soaking & pushing back of the cuticle

    • Massage & scrub

    • Paint with traditional nail polish

The pedicure includes a scrub and pedi paddle to remove and reduce rough skin build-up on the soles of the feet.

  • How often should I get a manicure?

If you prefer a perfectly polished, medium to long nails, getting a professional manicure once a week is recommended. For people who have a more active lifestyle and prefer shorter nails, a manicure once every two weeks is ideal.
